OVERSTREET’S JEWELRY: A FAMILY TRADITION
Ralph and Belle Overstreet moved to Bentonville in 1948 to a town of less than 3000 people. They wanted a good place to raise their family and open their own business. They started Overstreet’s as a place where everyone is treated fairly and given the best possible service.
As Bentonville has grown, so has the business. Many second and third generation customers are finding jewelry for special occasions and are having their repair work done. Belle is gone now and Ralph doesn’t work as long hours, but he still enjoys providing the top-notch watch service he always has.
“The customer has always come first for us, which is why my nephew Doug Overstreet and I are Certified Gemologists with the American Gem Society, an international organization dedicated to the education of consumers and the ethical operation of jewelry businesses,” says Don Overstreet, currently the president of Overstreet’s. “We also have two employees who have earned their Registered Jeweler accreditation with the American Gem Society. We intend to truly treat all customers like we want to be treated when we are the customers.”
The community we serve is important to us. Doug is a past-president of Rotary and has served on its board of directors. He also is currently Chairman of the Board of Lifeline, Inc. Don is a past-president of Kiwanis and is on the Board of the Children’s Museum of Northwest Arkansas. He also served several years on the Bentonville City Library Advisory Board, and has been on the board of the Arkansas Jewelers Association for many years.
Overstreet’s Jewelry is open six days a week from 9 – 6 on Monday through Friday and from 9 – 4 on Saturday. We have a brand new website. We’d love to have you visit at www.overstreetjewelry.com.
