The Next American Masterpiece is in the Making
Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is envisioned as a premier art institution dedicated to American art and artists, learning, and community gatherings. The main pavilions will house a permanent collection of American art masterworks from the colonial era to modern day, and touring collections from national art institutions. Visitors will be able to enjoy the collection within the state-of-the-art galleries and throughout the surrounding park. A dynamic temporary exhibitions program will complement the holdings of the permanent collection and exemplify the diversity of American artists.
Nestled on more than 100 acres of lush natural landscape, Crystal Bridges is within a short walk of the Bentonville town square. The grounds will include sculpture gardens, walking and hiking trails and recreational areas. The flexibly-designed spaces will house educational programs, library resources, lectures, concerts, and meetings. The architecture seeks to create an expression of the area, its fauna and flora, and particularly its history and culture.
Crystal Bridges at the Massey
Get a glimpse of what’s to come while Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is under construction. Crystal Bridges at the Massey is located just off the square in downtown Bentonville, Arkansas, in the historic Massey Building at 125 West Central Avenue. This program and gallery space features a scale model of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art along with recent construction photos. Crystal Bridges at the Massey also showcases touring exhibitions, which are free and open to the public.
